This brings doubt and fear and feelings of loss at what to do as new mother.
Instead, the nearest hospital, one that brings to mind awful childhood memories of losing her mother in a way that brings the trauma front and center in her mind. A mother to be is rushed to the hospital, an emergency situation, but not to the hospital she is supposed to deliver at. Narrated in the second person, an interesting point of view that adds to the power of the story. This is the third one that I have read and it’s the third one that is deserving of five stars.
